Introduction to the Basic Circuit Board Design Process

The most basic design process for designing a circuit board can be divided into the following three parts.


(1) The design of circuit schematics mainly utilizes the Advanced Schematic system of PROTEL99 to draw a circuit schematic. In this process, it is important to fully utilize PROTEI. 99 provides various schematic drawing tools and editing functions to achieve our goal of obtaining a correct and exquisite circuit schematic.


(2) Generating a network table is a bridge between circuit schematic design (SCH) and printed circuit board design (PCB), and it is the soul of automatic routing in PCB design. Network tables can be obtained from circuit schematics or extracted from existing printed circuit boards.


(3) The design of printed circuit boards is mainly aimed at the PCB, another important part of PRCITEL99SE. In this process, we use the powerful functions provided by PROTEL99SE to achieve the layout design of the circuit board. In short, the design process of a circuit board first involves drawing a circuit schematic, then generating a network table from the circuit schematic file, and finally completing automatic routing work in the PCB design system based on the network table. It is also possible to manually wire according to the circuit schematic without generating a network table. After completing the wiring work, you can use a printer or plotter for output printing. In addition, users may also need to complete other tasks during the design process, such as building their own component library, editing new components, generating various reports, etc.
